Some vehicles are able to drive without the airbag module, just because your vehicle is able to, it is absolutely not recommended and will not allow the SRS system to work in an accident.
It is recommended to scan the vehicle prior to getting the module reset, solving the existing codes and lastly reinstalling the module causing the airbag light to go away.
